Cash on delivery and free shipping fee is one of the best feature of Lazada, a giant e-commerce company next to Alibaba and the most popular in the Philippines. Yet recently, maybe you are wondering, “why I’m not getting free shipping even if my items are above P1000?” The reason is, Lazada released new shipping fees/rates policy. It states that:
“Starting July 24, 2018, with Lazada’s New Shipping Fee Policy, shipping fees are now calculated on a store-level or seller-level. This means that you can now get Free Shipping if your reach the minimum spendĀ set by the seller. Note: Minimum spend may now vary per store”
It looks like Shop** now right? The free shipping feature will now be based on the seller. You can get Free of Charge shipping if you reach the minimum spend set by the seller. Also, additional fees may still apply if your order’s weight is greater than 5 kilos or if your areas is out of delivery zone set by Lazada’s courier.
If you do not meet the minimum order, a shipping fee will be added to your order. The fee will depend on 1) Weight of your item/s & 2) your location. So make sure to verify the total amount of your orders before you check out.
So what do you think made Lazada to change their policy with regards to fees and shipping? Are they being attacked by phantom orders? Do you like their new update? Let us know your opinion.
It’s very dissapointing..why fix it if it’s not broken anyway…
This could either be their downfall or they are just incompetent
Maybe Shopee made an impact. Lazada drops price and now charge a fee of P50 for most items below P500. Their new platform is a quite the same with shopee now and they are slowly coping up with Shopee’s price. Most vouchers now are Store exclusive as well. Overall, Lazada still better compared to Shopee – more events has been made thru the App, Cashback System and Ease of Payment unlike Shopee that you need to wait for the Seller’s response in order to place your order.
